Chief Simeon McKay Education Centre

Kasabonika Lake, ON

We know that learning is easier when you have an excellent teacher. That's why most of our educators have achieved an advanced degree in their field. Our faculty are passionate about the subjects they teach and bring this enthusiasm into their lessons.
Chief Simeon McKay Education Centre offers a full curriculum for students from Junior Kindergarten (JK) to Grade 12; approved and inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education.
They administer the Anishiniimowin Immersion program (Languages Together) which promotes academic learning entirely in Oji-Cree during Kindergarten and evolving into a mostly English curriculum by the time students enter Grade 8.
