We are in every essence a “Cree Community School”. It is our goal at Ermineskin Elementary School to provide a quality education that nurtures our Cree language and culture by providing effective instruction, meaningful experiences, and the opportunity for our children to develop a strong sense of Nêhiyawewin identity.
We are proud of our school and believe we are the beacon of hope that strives to build strong Cree citizens, leaders who empower others, and students who are engaged in their learning and their community.

Mission

To deliver a quality Nehiyawewin education that provides students with engaging and meaningful learning opportunities so they become Cree leaders in their school and community.
Students at Keethanow Elementary School tend to be quiet and may have heads down (especially the older students). Please know this is not an indication of not listening. Students love and respond well to hands-on activities, especially building, painting, creating, dancing, singing and movement.
